“Post Scriptum Sobre a Alegria” (Post Scriptum About Joy) was an exhibition held at Museu do Porto, offering an intimate look into the artistic collection of the poet Eugénio de Andrade. The show featured over a hundred works, including limited editions, artist books, and primarily portraits of the poet created by his friends in the art world. The typeface selected for the identity was ABC Laica, by Dinamo. The distinctive aesthetic of Laica, characterized by the combination of two different calligraphic techniques: the broad nib and the pointed nib, served as an ideal foundation for representing an exhibition that explores the interplay between the artistic and literary worlds of the Portuguese poet Eugénio de Andrade. The artwork chosen for the main exhibition poster is a portrait of Eugénio de Andrade by the artists José Rodrigues. It depicts the poet as a blank figure within his surroundings, effectively reflecting the exhibition’s motto – while centered on the late poet, it explores his world through the lens of the artistic and human environment that surrounded him.
