The “Prêmio Cidade Caminhável” [Walkable City Award] , originally promoted by the NGO SampaPé!, with support from ITDP Brasil and the international organization Walk 21, seeks to recognize and value public projects that promote walkability — in other words, solutions that make cities more accessible, safe, inclusive, and pleasant for people on foot. The 1st edition took place in 2021, with 28 projects submitted. The visual identity sought to represent the urban elements of connection (crosswalks, sidewalks, etc.) using different types of threads. The various stroking styles can be used to create multiple versions of the logo, resulting in a lively and dynamic brand.
